Faculty Fellows
A&L’s Faculty Fellowships are intended to enhance student support and student-facing programming and resources. In addition, they will support the research and development of pedagogical tools, faculty resources, and initiatives that foster curricular integration.
Faculty Fellows draw on their own experience, interests, and RISD’s demonstrated institutional needs to advance strategic development of A&L’s existing programs. Working under the supervision of the Director of the Center for Arts & Language, with A&L staff, with each other, with faculty, and with students, they research, develop, deliver, and assess topics, methods, and outcomes in three primary areas: Written and Oral Communication, Multilingual Learning, and Publishing. The Written and Oral Communication Fellow will contribute to the development and delivery of student- and faculty-centered programming and support.

In collaboration with A&L’s director and staff, in particular the Multilingual Learning Specialist, The Multilingual Learning Fellow provides direct and indirect support to high-need multilingual students.

Publishing Fellow
The Publishing Fellow provides mentorship to three publishing communities: student publications (v.1, SCALE, desi-gned, etc.); graduate thesis writers; and faculty writers.
